摘要: Plumbago zeylanica L. (Plumbaginaceae) commonly known, as chitrak is pharmacologically important plant. Various studies have been undertaken to assess the pharmacological potential of different parts plant namely like roots, stem, flower, and leaves antimicrobial, hepatoprotective, anticancer, antifertility, antiulcer, antifungal wound healing. The intention present review deliver a concise account on its ethnobotanical uses, phytochemistry with an in-depth study phytoconstituents, facts prospects activities this golden An extensive literature survey was through online platforms viz. Google Scholar databases PubMed, Science Direct Springer. All papers based traditional medicinal uses properties were included. Sixty three research articles found be apt for inclusion into review. About 150 retrieved purpose. elaborative results vindicated that holds significant in major health conditions such diabetes, cardiovascular disorders, ulcer, liver problems, obesity, healing, cancer etc.
