摘要: Study design This is a prospective two-center study. Objective The aim of this study was to assess the safety and efficacy treating patients with lumbar foraminal disc herniations via microscopic transpars approach, clinical radiological follow-up evaluation. Summary background data Purely comprise about 5% all herniated intervertebral discs. Operative management can be technically difficult, optimum surgical treatment remains controversial. Methods From January 2012 2015, 47 were prospectively recruited. Patients followed-up as outpatients at 1 week after discharge, then 1, 6, 12 months.A multiparametric evaluation including numeric rating scale (NRS), drugs intake, Macnab criteria, working days lost used.Postoperative dynamic x-rays (flexion, extension) performed in cases months surgery. Results No surgery-related complications occurred.Among 35 who not retired time study, 29 returned work normal daily activities within 60 surgery.Pain discharge showed significant improvement NRS score, from 8.93 1.45 months. Root palsy significantly improved already 1-month follow-up. Drugs intake analysis that 6-month follow-up, no used steroids, or opioids, 17 non-steroidal anti-inflammatory when needed, (61.7%) for pain relief. variations occurred 12-month-follow-up.At 12-month excellent good outcome (following criteria) achieved 36 (76.6%) 8 (17%) patients, respectively. There spinal instability evaluation. No recurrence Conclusion Transpars approach effective safe FLDH, but larger studies are needed. Level evidence 3.
