摘要: Anthropogenic activities have led to increased stress on our marine and other aquatic environments. There is a pressing need monitor, measure, understand mitigate the causes of these pressures. This paper presents development preliminary testing low-cost colorimetric optical sensor detect colour-linked events in environment. Potential applications may include detection Harmful Algal Blooms (HAB), which due production toxins deleterious effects ecosystems can ultimately lead human, fish, bird mammal deaths. Preliminary results indicate capability differentiate between colour signatures several environmental samples.
