摘要: Background and aim of the study: Mechanical heart valves produce short clicking sounds during closure. These closing are annoying for some patients their partners by causing sleeping disorders or social embarrassment. Various methods measuring have been developed both in vitro vivo using calculation A-weighted sound pressure level loudness according to ISO 532 B. The study was evaluate relevance different psychoacoustic parameters evaluation sounds. Methods: Closing were recorded from with ATS (n = 13), On-X 18) St. Jude Medical valve prostheses 16). 5 cm above chest a supine position, sound-insulated chamber. mean peak values sharpness calculated used determine annoyance modification Widmann formula. This verified listening test ranking annoyance. Results: There no statistically significant independence between difference agreement among persons. For valves, ranged 0.07 2.57 sone, 0.1 5.4. Conclusion: results this showed that influence on mechanical indicated substantial variation may be due individual patient physiology.
