摘要: Abstract Every year, especially in summer, Brazil suffers from floods and landslides triggered by intense rainfall. These are responsible for many fatalities material losses that greatly affect the local population. The municipality of Campos do Jordao, Sao Paulo state, presents such a history mass movements have resulted financial losses. A map municipality's risk assessment shows about 32% population lives risky areas. For this reason, Jordao is currently one pilot areas being used studies understanding mitigation techniques. In context, paper results an integration geophysical surveys of, geotechnical information on, area. methods applied were electrical resistivity, induced polarization, frequency-domain electromagnetics. data included standard penetration test soundings soil characterization (using particle density X-ray fluorescence methods). main contribution work to present joint application these methodologies. Results critical areas, where school had suffered impact movement, indicated displacement burial retaining wall, which was built 2002, as well shape affected foundations school.
