摘要: This paper presents a summary of NASA Glenn col laborative research effort to investigate the feasibility developing high performance passive millimeter -wave imager (PMMWI) address some NASA’s future needs in aviation safety and remote sensing. A focus work is assess curren t instrumentation development for -related applications. The initial goal develop an inexpensive 94 GHz Radiometer, capable High Resolution Imaging (Super -Resolution) with application rem ote Radiometer (2 nd Figure) has two major aspects, both strongly interdependent. One involves code implementation real -time Image Recovery , including Radiative Transfer formulation, simulation Electromagnetic Interactions media, Super -resolution Techniques . other Design Antenna Simulations, Manufacturing, Testing Field Testing. work, joint universities allowe d -performance opto -mechanically scanned be built operated at GHz. single channel 94GHz receiver consisted LNA followed by down -converter detector. video output passed A/D converter w as displayed on conventional PC. Its design construction will described briefly. mm primarily intended monitor ground movement aircraft adverse weather conditions. Other applications include detectio n concealed weapons, imaging launch vehicles through their exhausts.
