摘要: Environmental stress has played a major role in the evolution of living organisms (Hoffman AA, Parsons PA. 1991. Evolutionary genetics and environmental stress. Oxford: Oxford University Press; 2005. Environments evolution: interactions between stress, resource inadequacy, energetic efficiency. Biol Rev Camb Philos Soc. 80:589–610). This is reflected by massive background extinctions evolutionary time (Nevo E. 1995a. Evolution extinction. Encyclopedia Biology. New York: Academic Press, Inc. 1:717–745). The interaction organism environment central evolution. Extinction ensues when fail to change adapt constantly altering abiotic biotic stressful changes as documented fossil record. Extreme causes extinction but also leads origination new species adapted environments. I will discuss few these global, regional, local stresses based primarily on my own research programs. These examples include 1) global regional experiment subterranean mammals; 2) fungal life Dead Sea; 3) wild cereals; 4) “Evolution Canyon”; 5) human brain evolution, 6) warming.
