摘要: The ability to learn the location of places in world and revisit them repeatedly is crucial for all aspects animal life on earth. It underpins foraging, predator avoidance, territoriality, mating, nest construction parental care. Much theoretical experimental progress has recently been made identifying sensory cues computational mechanisms that allow insects (and robots) find their way back places, while neurobiological underlying navigational abilities are beginning be unravelled vertebrate invertebrate models. Studying visual homing interesting, because they experimentation view-reconstruction under natural conditions, likely have evolved parsimonious, yet robust solutions problem force us consider viewpoint navigating animals, including capacities.
