摘要: Stromal interacting molecule 1 (STIM1) is a Ca2+ sensor that conveys the load of endoplasmic reticulum to store-operated channels (SOCs) at plasma membrane. Here, we report STIM1 binds TRPC1, TRPC4 and TRPC5 determines their function as SOCs. Inhibition inhibits activation by receptor stimulation, but not La3+, suggesting obligatory for TRPC agonists, essential channel function. Through distinct mechanism, also regulates TRPC3 TRPC6. does bind TRPC6, indirectly mediating heteromultimerization with TRPC1 TRPC6 TRPC4. TRPC7 regulated STIM1. We propose new definition SOCs, are require store depletion-mediated clustering By this definition, all channels, except TRPC7,
