摘要: ABSTRACT Recently developed models and data describing the interactions of gas-phase semi-volatile organic compounds with indoor surfaces are employed to examine effects sorption on nicotine's suitability as an environmental tobacco smoke (ETS) marker. Using parameters from our studies nicotine carpet, painted wallboard, stainless steel previously published ETS particle deposition, dynamic behavior was modeled in two different environments: a house chamber. The results show that apparently contradictory observations air can be understood by considering under experimental conditions. In environments which smoking has occurred regularly for extended period, sorbed mass is very large relative emitted single cigarette. importance adsorption ventilation removal mechanism r...
