摘要: The first cladistic analysis of the relationship Malagasy vangas (Vangidae) based on morphological characters is presented here. comparative provides new arguments for exclusion several taxa traditionally or recently assigned to Vangidae such as Tylas Vanga (Tylas eduardi), Crossleys Babbler (Mystacornis crossleyi) and newtonias (Newtonia spp.), but also Redtailed (Calicalicus madagascariensis) from Vangidae. It leads hypothesis that sensu stricto, Australasian woodswallows (Artamidae) Australo-Papuan butcherbirds (Cracticidae) form a monophyletic group, with New Guinean peltops (Peltops spp.) its probable sister taxon. Such implies last common ancestor reached Madagascar east by means dispersal event across Indian Ocean. This partly in accordance William Pycraft (1907) published century ago, conflict contemporary hypotheses DNA sequence which favour helmet-shrikes, bush shrikes relatives closest therefore an African origin this group.
