摘要: Biological communities are structured phylogenetically—closely related species typically more likely to be found at the same sites. This may be, in part, because they respond similarly environmental gradients. Accurately surveying biological is, however, made difficult by fact that detection of is not perfect. In recent years, numerous statistical methods have been developed aim overcome deficiencies process. However, these do allow investigators assess phylogenetic community structure. Here, we introduce occupancy model (POM), which accounts for imperfect while assessing patterns Using simulated data sets show POM grants less biased estimates structure than models without detection, and can correctly ascertain effects traits on composition accounting evolutionary non-independence taxa. Integrating into widely used will help clarify how history influences modern day communities. This article protected copyright. All rights reserved.
