摘要: The Miridae, or plant bugs, with more than 1,300 genera and 11,130 described species, represent the largest most diverse family of Heteroptera. Although many bugs are phytophagous may cause serious damage to crops, a great predatory be important in biological control programs. In Neotropics, about 561 3,400 species included seven world’s eight recognized subfamilies. this chapter, we give an overview classification, general life history, economic importance provide identification keys Neotropical subfamilies tribes. For each subfamily, present brief diagnosis, respective tribes subtribes, key literature.
