Comparison of Health Risk Behaviors Between Students in a Regular High School and Students in an Alternative High School

摘要: : Prevalence of selected health risk behaviors students attending an alternative high school (AHS) designed as a dropout prevention/dropout recovery was determined using the Youth Risk Behavior Survey. The survey also administered to sample regular (RHS) in same district. A larger percentage AHS reported being involved physical fight past year, having smoked at least one cigarette month, drunk drink on five or more occasions drinks once marijuana used cocaine and ever had sexual intercourse. Results indicate need for comprehensive education/intervention programs address needs youth settings. (J Sch Health. 1993;63(10):421–425)
