摘要: The organization of chromatin into higher-order structures and its condensation process represent one the key challenges in structural biology. This is important for elucidating several disease states. To address this long-standing problem, development advanced imaging methods has played an essential role providing understanding mitotic chromosome structure compaction. Amongst these are two fast evolving fluorescence technologies, specifically lifetime (FLIM) super-resolution microscopy (SRM). FLIM particular been lacking application research while SRM successfully applied although not widely. Both techniques capable with nanometer information. or “nanoscopy” generating images DNA less than 50 nm resolution when coupled energy transfer may provide 20 nm Here, we discuss advantages limitations both followed by their contribution to studies. Furthermore, highlight future prospects how advancements new technologies can contribute field science.
