摘要: Crop Wild Relatives are often used to improve crop quality and yields because they contain genetically important traits that can contribute stress resistance adaptation. Seed germination of different populations Aegilops geniculata Roth collected along a latitudinal gradient was studied under drought in order find suitable for improving tolerance wheat. Different accessions neglecta Req. ex Bertol., Triticum aestivum L. T. durum Desf. were as comparison. Under full hydration, high all populations, but increasing led reduced delayed germination. Significant differences final mean time germinate detected among populations. Wheat, durum wheat the southern population Ae. geniculata not significantly affected by stress, germinating similarly treatments. However, seed northern water treatment. Differences between same species could be explained annual rainfall across populations' distributions, during development maturation. responses found here highlight importance source criteria genotype selection pre-breeders.
