摘要: Abstract In previous reports we have identified individual rats whose neonatal cerebral parameters (weight, DNA, protein) were "outstandingly high" (OH) (defined throughout as being more than 1 standard deviation (OH ) or 2 deviations above the mean of normal population). present work established that pregnant subjected to chronic undernutrition (2/3 ad lib diet) produce offspring in which occurrence OH individuals is significantly depleted: control 7 16%, undernourished 0.5 2.1%; 0.7 1.2%, 0.0%. Thus, harmful effects are twofold: 1) Significant reduction values population a whole, and 2) Depletion individuals. If these correlated with behavioral performance, depletion indivuduals outstandingly high (2) may be even well known whole (1).
