摘要: To the Editor.— Pleuropericardial cysts rarely cause symptoms, and they are usually discovered as an incidental finding on a chest x-ray film. Their importance rests with problem of distinguishing them from malignant tumors. most commonly occur in right cardiophrenic angle, but other sites such left hila, anterior mediastinum have been reported. If cyst extends middle lower lobes, superior portion may be flattened so that assumes shape teardrop. 1 In past, thoracotomy was necessary to prove these asymptomatic masses were benign.
