摘要: The permeability structure resulting from high fluid pressure stimulation of a geothermal resource is the most important parameter controlling feasibility and viability enhanced systems (EGS), yet elusive to constrain. Linear diffusion models do reasonably good job constraining front stimulated region because t 1/2 dependence perturbation length, but triggering pressures such models, inferred using diffusivity parameter, drastically underestimate both changes. This leads incorrect interpretations about nature system, including degree needed induce seismicity required enhance system. Here, I use minimalist approach modeling show that all observations Basel (Switzerland) injection experiment are well matched by simple model where dominant control on system large-scale change in at onset slip. excellent agreement between these simplest indicates may be less complicated than envisaged, thus offering strategies for more sophisticated future help constrain exploit systems.
