摘要: Tupperwave is a wave energy device based on the Oscillating-Water-Column (OWC) concept. Unlike conventional OWC, which creates bidirectional air flow across self-rectifying turbine, uses rectifying valves to create smooth unidirectional flow, harnessed by turbine. This paper deals with development and validation of time-domain numerical models from pneumatic power for OWC using same floating spar buoy structure. The are built coupled hydrodynamic thermodynamic equations. isentropic assumption used describe processes. A tank testing campaign two devices at 1/24th scale described, results validate models. capacity innovative concept convert into useful turbine assessed compared corresponding OWC.
