摘要: This is a biography of Allvar Gullstrand (1862-1930) on the occasion centennial his 1911 Nobel Prize in physiology or medicine. We reviewed pertinent literature and we did archival studies at Uppsala University Library Regional State Archives Lund as well Royal Swedish Academy Sciences Stockholm. was brilliant scientist with an exceptional personality. He gave mathematical descriptions dioptric system human eye unprecedented accuracy, he invented designed ophthalmological instruments far-reaching importance. The two most valuable ones are slit lamp reflexless ophthalmoscope. Both everyday use by any ophthalmologist world. so far only who has been given for work ophthalmology, deserved it well.
