摘要: A preliminary analysis of the vulnerability Sefton coast to coastal flooding was carried out using a high-resolution DEM and census data from 2011. Results indicate that up 12,500 people live within areas below significant dune erosion level. Low-lying are clustered in two main locations, South Formby / Hightown Southport. High dunes 15 35 m high common central part Coast, including Point Ainsdale. This highlights significance field system as potential defence mechanism against flooding, need consider management schemes would allow adapt sea level rise climate change.
