Smart metering and systems to support a conscious use of water and electricity

摘要: Abstract Brazilian water and electricity utilities demand management tools to allow their customers analyze, monitor control consumption of these goods. From a social perspective, efficiency requires involved active clients who can audit the actual consumed amounts as well values saved new habits are established. In response this twofold demand, proposed system automates remote metering sub-metering (internal residence, installed at interest points) is integrated into structured knowledge tool. This integration environment receives collected meter measurements. It provides utility companies with compiled reports containing historical use, daily hourly forecasts, projected savings due changes in and/or use more efficient equipment. For developing countries diversity, such Brazil, tool make difference raising awareness by identifying consumption.
