Substance use in young adults: associations with personality and gender.

摘要: We examined relationships among personality (i.e., negative affectivity and conscientiousness), use of licit illicit substances in a sample 421 college-aged social drinkers (52.7% women, 47.3% men). Results indicated significant between substance as well gender differences. Negative was related to greater use, but not alcohol or smoking. Conscientiousness less smoking, which fully mediated conscientiousness with marijuana other substances. For associated compared men. men, smoking were more likely lead women.
