摘要: This paper presents the first molecular phylogeny of genus Passiflora encompassing almost all sections this large genus. The nuclear-encoded chloroplast-expressed glutamine synthetase gene (ncpGS) was used to examine relationships among species (passionflowers), which then compared with new classification proposed by Feuillet and MacDougal. resulting Bayesian, likelihood, parsimony trees are congruent well supported. 90 examined apparently split into eight main subgenera: Plectostemma, Granadilla, Astrophea, Deidamioides, Polyanthea, Dysosmia, Tetrapathea, Tryphostemmatoides. These results in overall agreement MacDougal's but here we propose that three additional subgenera, should be maintained. We observe a striking correlation between phylogenetic position different their chromosome number. clade contains arborescent subgenus n=12. second clade, includes from four subgenera Killip's n=6 chromosomes. last seven old n=9. Subgenus variable number n=9-11, is considered as separate closely related Granadilla.
