摘要: Optical experiments were conducted on a series of organic linear chain conductors with different values the interchain single-electron transfer integral tb, which quantifies degree anisotropy. Electron-electron interactions together Umklapp scattering resulted in correlation gap and an insulating state for small tb. An insulator-to-metal transition was observed whentb exceeded critical value, order Egap. The absence plasma edge insulator side polarization perpendicular to chains suggests that electrons are confined chains. optical features metallic state, when contrasted magnetic properties, suggestive spin-charge separation.
