摘要: Despite its great diversity and biomedical importance, the rodent subfamily Murinae is poorly resolved phylogenetically. We present first cladistic analysis sampling multiple representatives of most major groups based on DNA sequence for three nuclear (GHR, RAG1, AP5) one mitochondrial (COII parts COI ATPase 8) fragments. Analyzed separately, four partitions agree broadly with each other combined analysis. The basal split between a clade Philippine Old Endemics all remaining murines. Within latter, rapid radiation led to at least seven geographically distinct lineages, including Southeast Asian Rattus clade; diverse Australo-Papuan an African arvicanthine group otomyines; Praomys group; independent genera from Africa Asia, Mus, Apodemus, Malacomys. murines appear have originated in Asia then rapidly expanded across World. Both exons provide robust support levels. In contrast, bootstrap proportions data decline increasing depth tree, together suggesting that genes may be more useful even relatively recent divergences (<10 MYA).
