摘要: Neurogenic pain is experienced by about 1% of the population. The efficacy drug treatment for this condition has been poorly evaluated, and only recently have certain treatments shown to significant analgesic effects. Monotherapy with topical agents such as capsaicin not usually sufficient. Oral that proven effective in treating neurogenic states include tricyclic antidepressants, selective serotonin (5-hydroxytryptamine; 5-HT) reuptake inhibitors anticonvulsants. Local anaesthetics, administered intravenously, reported relieve selected patients, but data from controlled trials are sparse. Multiple mechanisms contribute generation pain. In future, likely target these mechanisms. Recent studies N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor antagonists, adenosine agonists nitric oxide synthase may become useful
