摘要: The National Council on Radiation Protection and Measurements (NCRP) recently assessed patient radiation exposure in the United States, which was summarized its 2019 NCRP Report No. 184. This work involved an estimation of number medical procedures using ionizing radiation, as well associated effective doses from these procedures. 184 committee elected to not incorporate dose radiotherapy into calculated population exposures, assessment for undergoing is more complex than that other exposures. However, aim raise awareness ancillary exposures patients radiotherapy. Overall, it estimated annually, 2016, approximately 800,000 received 1 million courses therapy. Each treatments includes various types imaging may be familiar radiologists or others. Exposures planning delivery are reviewed report this executive summary. techniques, use imaging, tissue described. Imaging can contribute a few percent planned treatment (which prescribed specified target volumes) exposing outside volume (in field view).
