摘要: Objectives: The aim of this study was to develop and test a generic framework enable international collaboration for producing sharing results health technology assessments (HTAs). Methods: Ten teams constructed the HTA Core Model, dividing information contained in comprehensive into standardized pieces, assessment elements. Each element contains issue that is translated practical research questions while performing an assessment. Elements were described detail cards. Two pilot assessments, designated as HTAs also produced. Model both validated. Guidance on use compiled Handbook. Results: considers technologies through nine domains. applications developed, one medical surgical interventions another diagnostic technologies. produced parallel with developing model, providing first real-life testing input further development. formal validation public feedback primarily positive. Development needs identified considered. An online Handbook available. Conclusions: novel approach HTA. It enables effective production structured format. face validity confirmed during project, but refining are needed ensure optimal usefulness user-friendliness. intended serve basis local reports. do not contain recommendations use. © 2009 Cambridge University Press.
