Two pilot assessments, designated as HTAs also produced. Model both validated. Guidance on use compiled Handbook. Results: considers technologies through nine domains. applications developed, one medical surgical interventions another diagnostic technologies. produced parallel with developing model, providing first real-life testing input further development. formal validation public feedback primarily positive. Development needs identified considered. An online Handbook available. Conclusions: novel approach HTA. It enables effective production structured format. face validity confirmed during project, but refining are needed ensure optimal usefulness user-friendliness. intended serve basis local reports. do not contain recommendations use. © 2009 Cambridge University Press.
