摘要: Abstract Thin films of nanocrystalline samarium doped ceria (SDC) were electrophoretically deposited on stainless steel substrate using Sm 0.2 Ce 0.8 O 1 . 9 nanopowder prepared by polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) assisted combustion method. The thermal behavior the combusted powder was studied thermogravimetric and differential analysis (TG-DTA). Nanocrystallinity phase purity calcinated SDC confirmed from transmission electron microscope (TEM) X-ray diffraction (XRD). In electrophoretic deposition (EPD), parameters related to suspension process optimized in acetone. film formation during found be diffusion controlled process. surface morphology its cross-section scanning (SEM). preparation electrolyte acetone-based EPD is reported for first time this paper.
