摘要: This prospective study was conducted in urban affluent, slum and rural communities of Bangladesh during Feb '94 to '95. From each community, 250 pregnant mothers were recruited the at end total 660 live births studied determine incidence risk factors low birth weight. Incidence weight highest (36.8%) followed by area (20.9%) lowest affluent community (18.3%). The residence had a significant influence on suggesting that environmental stress detrimental effect Age, height also factor for their babies. Mothers less than 20 years more 35 years, weighing 40 kg having 140 cm higher giving (73.2%) among primigravidae 36.8% who no antenatal check-up, but it 15.9% those check-up 7 times. distribution babies (48.2%) never gone school.
