摘要: Peripheral inflammatory stimuli may activate a brain neuroinflammatory processes with consequences in function. The present study investigated if anthocyanins (ANT) consumption was able to prevent the memory loss, neuronal damage, and triggered by intraperitoneal lipopolysaccharide (LPS) administration. C57BL6 male mice were treated ANT (30–100 mg/kg gavage). With single dose or during 10 days, before be challenged LPS (250 μg/kg intraperitoneally administration), classical inductor of inflammation. data obtained showed that confer protection against impairment after 10 days treatment (100 mg/kg). This phytonutrient also prevented hypothermia episode induced LPS. Moreover, increase protein carbonyl, NOx, MDA levels hippocampus cerebral cortex (4 24 h) animal protective effect on pro-inflammatory cytokines content, especially Interleukin (IL)-1β, tumoral necrosis factor-α reduction IL-10 100 mg/kg infiltration peripheral immune cells at 24 h post-LPS In parallel, increased activity myeloperoxidase hippocampus, this effect, reducing microglia (Iba-1) astrocyte (GFAP) immunoreactivity. Thus, our support are promising therapeutic component disorders associated process neuroinflammation.
