Adsorbates on thin iron(100) films

摘要: The electronic and magnetic properties of different kinds adsorbates on thin magnetized Fe(100) films have been investigated by means spin resolving photoelectron spectroscopy. study has carried out with atomically physisorbed xenon, the molecule carbon monoxide, metallic gold. splitting Xe 5p signal can be explained interactions final ionic hole state. By analysis, it could shown that at room temperature for low exposures adsorption CO is dissociative increasing exposure additionally molecular. Au related features monolayer show line shapes in both channels but no splittings due to an sp-like behavior this interface state being dominated minority character.
