摘要: The geometry and internal packing of twisted ropes composed carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are considered, a numerical solution in the context mesoscopic distinct element method (MDEM) is proposed. Compared to state art, MDEM accounts computationally tractable manner for both deformation fiber distributed van der Waals cohesive energy between fibers. These features enable us investigate torsional response new regime where rope develops rearrangements aspect-ratio-dependent geometric nonlinearities. emerges as robust simulation studying agglomerates comprising semiflexible nanofibers.
