摘要: Abstract Laminin is a basement membrane glycoprotein which consists of A, B1, and B2 chains. has diverse biological activities including promoting cell adhesion, migration, differentiation, growth, neurite extension. Synthetic peptides from the active region A chain were prepared tested for their activity. 19-mer peptide (designated PA22-2), just above carboxyl globule on long arm chain, was found to promote spreading, outgrowth. By testing smaller sequences within peptide, constituent pentapeptide, IKVAV (Ile-Lys-Val-Ala-Val), identified as site adhesion These data suggest that this sequence one principle sites in laminin regulate cellular behavior.
