This information obtained partly order evaluate potential conservation problems and sanitary risks congeneric European mink lutreola), one most endangered carnivores world. Skulls rectal faeces each specimen were simultaneously analysed. Troglotrema acutum Skrjabingylus nasicola found 5.6% M. vison No lesions seen any examined skulls. The finding both Spanish free-living specimens enlarges their natural definitive host spectrum Western Europe. One relatively important focus T. detected (30.4%) Alava province while S. be very infrequent. suitability analytical methods assessed know what degree coprological analysis reflects real prevalence this host. It is possible conclude that can used instead necropsies analyse incidence pathogenic mustelids. aspect useful when trying helminthological status species such as native (M. lutreola) particularly areas where are present strict competition occurs.
