摘要: Objective: To evaluate the evolution of liver transplantation (LT) in cases with partial and total portal vein thrombosis (PVT). Background: Portal particular PVT are still surgically demanding conditions, which can exclude patients from LT or increase postoperative complications after LT. Methods: We reviewed our 10-year experience (first era 1998-2002 second 2003-2008), comparing outcome to a group without PVT. Results: Among 889 LTs, we intraoperatively diagnosed 91 PVTs (10.2%): 51 (56%) 40 (44%). The rate complete increased first (2.2% vs. 6.7%, P < 0.005). Partial were mainly treated thrombectomy while managed 26 (63%), jumping graft 6 (15%), portocaval hemitransposition anastomosis varix 3 (7%). no-PVT, mortality was comparable (6.6% 5.8%), as 1- 5-year patient survival rates (85% 68% 86% 73% non-PVT). similar between PVT, but this last group, differed significantly 1 st 2nd (57% 89% at year, 0.05). Conclusions: Liver offers good also selected where surgical innovation has improved results.
