摘要: Recently, carabid remains from excavations in Flanders, Belgium, have been used palaeoecological reconstructions while other insect groups excluded. The reasons for this option are discussed. potential value of cara-bids archaeological research is illustrated by two examples. first example, a Roman well at Burst (East-Flanders, Belgium), shows that the fauna can reveal changes land use during period was functional. second example illustrates how analysis inside cathedral Antwerp (Belgium) helps to date architectural history monument.
