摘要: Graphene oxide (GO) possessing hydroxyl and epoxy groups was synthesized by a modified Hummer's process found to conform the empirical formula C0.801[epoxy]0.190[OH]0.009. GO examined as curative for amino novolac phthalonitrile (APN). It facilitate crosslinking reaction acting reactant group. Additionally, OH in react with nitrile of APN providing another pathway facilitating curing APN. Epoxy presence (generated epoxy–amine reaction), at lower temperature. Blending decreases overall temperature The co-reaction two systems led single phase matrix whose failure mode changed from brittle ductile no penalty thermal stability.
