摘要: In this overview, we focused on the bacterial cellulose (BC) applications, described in recently published scientific papers, field of skin regenerative medicine and wound care industry. Bacterial was proven to be biocompatible with living tissues. Moreover, its mechanical properties porous structure are considered suitable for biomedical applications. It is due fact that mimics extracellular matrix skin. it can also hold incorporated drugs other modifiers, which modulate improving antimicrobial activity rather poor native BC. reveals high hydrophilic never dries, a desired property, because wounds heal better faster when being constantly moisturized. This characteristic indicates may successfully serve as dressings tissue scaffolds.
