摘要: Barrett esophagus (BE) is a condition in which the normal squamous epithelium of replaced by metaplastic columnar epithelium. BE premalignant lesion that represents initial step metaplasia-dysplasia-carcinoma sequence. In present study, amplification proto-oncogene c-myc was determined means differential polymerase chain reaction analysis specialized epithelium, low-grade dysplasia, high-grade and invasive adenocarcinoma obtained microscopic dissection 43 esophagectomy specimens. Amplification found none 29 epithelial specimens, 23 dysplasia 6 24 17 39 Our data indicate late event sequence BE. Furthermore, determination may help identify high-risk patients who would benefit from intensified endoscopic surveillance or immediate treatment.
