摘要: Background There is an urgent need for better prostate cancer (PCa) biomarkers due to the low specificity of specific antigen (PSA). Objective Prostate Health Index (PHI) advanced PSA-based test early detection PCa. The present study aim was investigate potential improvement diagnostic accuracy PHI by its combination with suitable discriminative microRNAs (miRNAs). Methods A two-phase performed. In a discovery phase, panel 177 miRNAs measured in ten men biopsy proven PCa and histologically no evidence malignancy (NEM). These results were validated second phase including 25 patients each group. all groups matched regarding their PSA values measured. Results Based on data four elevated selected as miRNA candidates further validation. miR-222-3p best extended from AUC value 0.690 0.787 resulted sensitivity 72.0% 84.0%. Conclusion Circulating show useful common used enhance power.
