摘要: BACKGROUND Metabolic syndrome (MetS) has a negative impact on functional recovery and complications after many surgical procedures. AIM To assess the role of Mets outcomes radical prostatectomy (RP) for prostate cancer. PATIENTS AND METHODS Complete data were collected from 5758 patients, undergoing RP at single referral centers in 10-year period presence MetS before surgery was ascertained 17.7% them using modified version IDF-AHA/NHLBI criteria. Outcomes included 1-year continence potency rates, early (≤90 days) late (>90 complications. RESULTS Postoperative (no pads) significantly less likely patients (75.4% vs 82.6%, P < .01), despite no difference preoperative continence. Erections with or without therapy reached 55.8% non-MetS 41.8% (P < .01), this case significant function seen. No differences complications, except wound infections (5.8% 3.9%, P < .01) observed. CONCLUSIONS In present study safe standpoint but risk factor post-RP incontinence impotence.
