摘要: Nitric oxide (NO) is a significant biologically active molecule; its role in controlling cellular and organ functions, especially the respiratory, cardiovascular, nervous immune system, has been well established. In respiratory this molecule responsible for maintaining pulmonary vascular integrity. It improves arterial oxygenation, which may be associated with action on distribution of blood flow lungs. This property basis i nhaled nitric (INO) being employed treatment high altitude edema (HAPE), acute distress syndrome persistent hypertension newborn. The combined use NO oxygen cumulative effect haemodynamics gas exchange. Soldiers Indian army deployed at are prone to develop mountain sickness HAPE. Inhalation preferred these patients. Clinical application INO fr equently tempered by difficulties sa fe accurate delivery. inhalation number short -term long-term conflicting effects, still experimental stage. fundamental outline delivery system should able provide safe analysis or mon itoring. interest identification exhaled (ENO) as marker diseases mounting, notably reference inflammatory airway diseases. Further studies standardization ENO testing needed tu rn findings into rel iable diagnostic tool.
