摘要: Successful outcomes for patients with cancer often depend on the early detection of tumor and prompt initiation active therapy. Despite major advances in treatment many cancers, early-stage lesions go undetected due to suboptimal resolution current anatomical functional imaging modalities. This limitation also applies preclinical animal models that are crucial evaluation development new therapeutic approaches cancer. We report a mouse model metastatic pheochromocytoma, generated using tail vein injection pheochromocytoma cell (MPC) line reproducibly multiple liver tumors animals. Furthermore, we show vivo microCT enhanced hepatobiliary-specific contrast agent, glyceryl-2-oleyl-1,3-di-7-(3-amino-2,4,6-triiodophenyl)-heptanoate (DHOG), detected as small 0.35 mm 4 weeks after cells. may be useful studies biology strategies treat pheochromocytoma.
