Evaluación de la intervención farmacéutica sobre cumplimiento en terapia antibiótica

摘要: Therapeutic non-adherence is a primary public health problem, because it conditions prescribed treatment effectiveness. The aim to assess if antibiotic unit dose dispensing enhances or not adherence versus traditional package dispensing, when both of them are provided with active information from the pharmacist. As secondary objective, assess positive incidence on adherence, expected to occur pharmacist attitude on dispensing antibiotics pretended. Method: A prospective study performed in 15 community pharmacies Pontevedra: 7 included the pilot of dose (UD), and 8 dispensing traditional packages (TP). Standardized process, and written information correct use treatment was delivered patients. At end the treatment, was verified by phone. �Good adherents� were considered patients taking 100% treatment. Results: 181 valid cases (94 TP 87 UD group). The average �good DU was 62.07% 73.40%, existing a difference 11.3% between them. Absolute adherence DU group 89.94% TP 95,69% Discussion: Difference between both groups, although being statistically ignificant, important rejects hypothesis that suggest that unit dose therapy adherence. Achieved adherence all treatments quite higher than common Spain, what confirms key role on therapy supporter an active attitude dispensing.
