摘要: Wireless networks provide mobile users with ubiquitous communicating capability and information access regardless of location. Conventional ground radio are the "last hop" extension a wireline network, thus supporting only single hop communications within "cell". In this dissertation we address novel type wireless called "multihop" networks. As difference from "single (i.e., cellular) which require fixed base stations inter-connected by wired backbone, multihop have no based nor backbone. The main application for multihopping is rapid deployment dynamic reconfiguration. When network not available, as in battlefield search rescue operations, feasible means access. Multihopping poses several new challenges design protocols. We focus on multicasting thesis. The multicast service critical applications characterized close collaboration teams (e.g., patrol, battalion, scientists, etc.) audio/video conferencing requirements sharing text images. Multicasting much more complex than cellular where all mobiles cell can be reached hop. fact, one or structures trees) maintained to efficiently deliver packets sources destinations group. Multicast solutions similar those used mesh such Internet might considered. Yet, these directly applicable because mobility dynamically changing topology. evaluate various popular protocols via simulations propose well suitable networks. This mainly covers five areas: (1) Cluster-Token infrastructure cluster routing; (2) Shared tree routing protocols; (3) without Rendezvous Points; (4) On-demand multicast; (5) Reliable multicast.
