摘要: Abstract In this study the influence of amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP) on setting of, and formed apatite crystallite size in, a cement (CPC) based α-tricalcium (α-TCP) or tetracalcium (TTCP)/monocalcium monohydrate (MCPM) was investigated. Setting times at 22 °C were measured in air atmosphere; those 37 °C 100% relative humidity. The phase composition set cements investigated after 1 week using X-ray diffractometry infrared spectroscopy morphology scanning electron microscopy. compressive strength (CS) CPCs 1 day. Viability MC3T3-E1 cells analyzed 7, 14 21 days incubation CellTiter 96 ® Aqueous Non-Radioactive Cell Proliferation Assay. α-TCP-based exhibited long times, high CS converted to calcium-deficient hydroxyapatite (CDHAp). TTCP/MCPM-based CPC only partly CDHAp, produced acceptable had low CS. Addition ACP these two resulted that good suitable for non-load-bearing applications full conversion nanocrystalline CDHAp. Moreover, containing demonstrated cell viability, making them candidates bone substitute materials.
