摘要: Major technical constraints like minimum data storage at satellite platform in space, less bandwidth for communication with earth station, etc. limits the sensors from capturing images high spatial and spectral resolutions simultaneously. To overcome this limitation, image fusion has proved to be a potential tool remote sensing applications which integrates information combinations of panchromatic, multispectral or hyperspectral images; intended result composite having both higher resolutions. The research area cites date back last few decades, but diverse approaches proposed so far by different researchers have been rarely discussed one place. This paper is an honest attempt collectively discuss all possible algorithms along quality metrics following two assessment procedures i.e. full reduced scale evaluate performance these algorithms.
